Interesting exchange in getting her consent for this.
I've mentioned before that I always try to keep in mind how new this experience is to those I photograph. But one of her statements in the exchange caught me off guard. In that she'd been photographed in public when she was younger by a random photographer with... I'll just say... not the greatest intentions.
But I've made it a point to always ensure, as best as possible, they are giving genuine consent and are comfortable with it. It would've been one thing if she approached me - something that has happened a few times before (like with them, and them). But since I was approaching her, again I do my best to make sure she's going to be comfortable with me photographing her.
So after taking a couple shots, I gave her my Instagram and walked away. Walking back to my car is when I saw her sitting on that rock. Which just happened to also be right next to my vehicle.
