She's reading Fragments from the Teachings of Meishu-sama. (Amazon affiliate link.) Meishu-sama was born Mokichi Okada in 1882, and his followers gave him the title "Meishu sama", meaning "Lord of Light". He founded the Church of World Messianity, previously known as the World Church of Messiah.

Despite the name, it isn't derived from Christianity or linked to the Abrahamic faiths and their concept of the Messiah. Instead it's derived from Japanese Shinto. And like a lot of Japanese religion, it's about spirituality, not any kind of theism like that found with the Abrahamic faiths.
