I wish I had video of this instead of just photos. I also wish I had my 85mm instead of the 50mm on the camera for this. Oh well. When I first saw her, I thought she was on skates. But it was only when I got back to the parking lot that I saw it was a skateboard.
Freezing motion can always be a little bit of a challenge. But that's why I had my camera set to manual with auto-ISO. That's so I could pick the shutter speed and aperture, then let the camera decide the exposure. Continuous autofocus as well.
Then the difficulty was just tracking her. Lots of missed focus shots in the mix, but thankfully some shots turned out.
And at the end of it, she agreed to a couple quick portrait shots.
