Kansas City Renaissance Festival - 2026 - Day 1

Hovering around 100°F. Not humid, thankfully. But the layout of the grounds meant there was no way a breeze was getting in to offer any level of relief from the heat.

Going today was - I'll openly admit - a mistake.

Being the opening weekend, there were somehow still plenty of people around. But I would be lying if I said the heat wasn't taking its toll on me, making finding anyone to photograph something my mind wasn't really wanting to pursue...

That said I did manage a pair of photos I'm considering keepers, since she reminded me of the woman who was the cover feature for last year's KC Ren Fest special issue.
