In one hell of a surprise, today was nearly a complete bust.

Rain came through mid-to-late morning, later than initially forecast, and didn't leave Kansas City until close to noon. So while I could still get out about my usual time, despite wanting to go out sooner to allow more time, the City Market was nearly dead when I got there. The pavilions were nearly packed, but there were only a few clothing vendors outside the pavilions and almost no one else. So I got on the streetcar and headed downtown where my luck was seemingly nonexistent. Where potential subjects were either well out of reach when I saw them, or I wasn't able to get their attention.

Thankfully today wasn't a total bust or you wouldn't be reading this.

I always head out twice on Sundays, City Market in the afternoon, downtown in the evening. And walking around the Power & Light District, making my way through Kansas City Live!, I saw her walk in from off Walnut. Then caught her as she was going up the stairs toward the Shark Bar, making the stair rail the perfect spot for a quick shot.
