Emily

I wanted to photograph her when I saw her walking toward the Crossroads Night Market with a friend. The question, ultimately was whether I'd get that chance. I wasn't sure about wanting the friend. While Emily looked dressed for Fourth of July parties that night, the friend was dressed casually.

And I saw my chance when I saw her standing on her own in front of the music stage. Which made interesting giving direction and even trying to talk to her.
