Eleanor

Welcome to 2026!

First outing of the year for me. Okay, not quite first outing since I was down in Leawood yesterday, the first day of Daylight Saving Time, after not being out pretty much all winter. And then... napped in the afternoon after feeling like I was going to doze off at my desk, so didn't go downtown last night.

Probably for the better, honestly.

So tonight was the first outing back around the downtown loop. And being the first outing, I didn't have high expectations and, probably consequently, didn't have any luck finding a subject.

Until I was about to call it a night.

Eleanor was sitting at the Kauffman Center street car stop. I walked by initially noting the estimated wait time for the street car on the sign. 4 minutes. I already knew I wouldn't need that long. That also allowed me to get clear of a group of people walking behind me.

Then she got up and walked to the corner, but thankfully I was able to catch up to her. She would tell me she was on her way to a first date tonight.

And she does crafts, so be sure to check out her work on her Instagram.
