I had a feeling she was with the guy who was trying to figure out the rental scooters - e.g., like with Enderlys this past Sunday. And that was confirmed when I was finished taking shots and I saw the boyfriend standing next to the scooter looking... a little annoyed.

But that's one of the reasons I've gotten adept at keeping these encounters short while still getting great shots - in my opinion, at least. Even when poses seem the same, there's always something different with each encounter. And every once in a while, I get something new, such as the first pose. She asked if she should pose, and then just decided to pose like that. Then I asked her to just have a seat in the chair.

It's a lesson I learned quite a while ago: keep direction a little vague and just let them fill in the blanks. Sometimes your photo subject will surprise you.
