Crystal

Tonight, I was walking West along the southside of 13th when I noticed a brunette with glasses, a black jacket, and a backpack walking East along the northside adjacent the Midland Theater. She paused a moment, but then continued East when I got close enough that I was about to cross the street.

Needing to relax a moment, I leaned up against a light pole facing East and observed the area, including where the brunette decided to go. She turned South along Main. I waited for my knees to stop complaining and walked back East to Main and turned South as well.

She told me that we'd crossed paths before, saying she remembered the encounter "vividly". I made the connection only after I turned the corner at 14th . The scars are there. But they definitely won't go away on their own. But she still seems perfectly comfortable showing them. I was just too close this time to have them in frame.
