I saw the woman in the red dress first, sitting on the concrete divider. While I was getting her added as a follower on my Instagram, her friend walked out of the nearby ice cream shoppe. So the woman in red asked if I'd be willing to take shots of both of them together since the friend was in Kansas City visiting from the Pacific Northwest.
The first attempt at getting a shot of them together... yeah that didn't turn out since they had their backs facing the rest of the market. Meaning horribly backlit and without a flash there was nothing I could about it. So after getting a shot of the visiting friend, we redid the shot of them together, this time with the sun behind me so the background was also shade instead of the sunlit City Market.
