Bailey

In the 17 years I've lived in Kansas City, there are plenty of places I have never been. Including... Union Station.

So for 2026, I decided I needed to change that. That it's only a few blocks South of where I typically park when I go downtown means there has largely been zero excuse for having never been in that part of the city.

Tonight wasn't my first venture there - that was the preceding Sunday. But there was a LOT happening in the Crossroads Arts District. So rather than hang around trying to find a subject among the crowds, I went south across the bridge to Union Station and the First World War monument.

I just crossed the street North to alongside Union Station when saw Bailey. Skinny jeans. Form-fitting tank. Heels. She was also walking North to the bridge over the tracks.

I overtook her on the bridge, outpacing her enough on the decline I was able to get to the steps leading to the Freight House with plenty of distance between us. But she was walking in heels on a downhill...
