Anne
I first met her last October when she was the info desk attendant for the flea market, getting shots of her a couple weekends in a row. Only also never getting her name since all she has has her name on Instagram was simply... "N". She isn't working the info desk this year, but she is working for merchants at the City Market. So I still run into her on Sundays.
And I tried getting shots of her last weekend, but they unfortunately didn't turn out. It spurred me into making some changes to what I carry for street portraiture. Since I realized the camera I wanted to be using for that had some significant limitations. And the camera I typically use for photo shoots wasn't nearly as limiting as I initially thought. Anyway...
The clouds were being a pain in the ass today. Constantly getting in the way of the sun, occasionally also dropping rain. You know, clouds being clouds. Sometimes light, sometimes not, but thankfully whatever could be called a downpour typically didn't last long. And when it finally left, humidity was left behind in its wake, which could become the fuel for more pop-up rain and potential thunderstorms.
But Anne wanted to cool off a little. She asked me if I'd ever done photography in the rain, and said I hadn't due to the risk it poses to my camera. She stepped out into the rain anyway - initially with Olivia - since she wanted to cool down.
I stayed under the pavilion.
