With a new heat wave that rolled into Kansas City, keeping it around the 90s downtown, I parked in the Kauffman Center garage and walked North. The logic on that being that I'd be in shade for most of my walk, making any wind blowing between the buildings is all the better, meaning the heat would be far less of a problem over walking down the completely shade-less Riverfront.

I didn't really have a plan to poke by the City Market, but decided on a lark to just go for it, expecting to waste about 15 minutes up there before hopping another streetcar back to the Convention District.

Thankfully it wasn't wasted.
