Tonight didn't go all that great. But this was in part due to a few... shall we say?... unfortunate recent events that made my attention to the crowds less than it has been, making finding someone to photograph all the more difficult.

In short, unless someone just stood out from the crowd like a lighthouse beacon on a clear night, I probably wasn't going to notice them.

Enter Alex, who happened to be pretty much on her own along Delaware. I noticed her earlier near the City Market Park when I was walking through, but she was with a friend wearing a hijab so I didn't want to approach. Seeing her on her own this time, though, casual clothes and her hair in braids... absolutely.

With direction, I merely asked her to cross her legs and she gave me this. I always love getting someone's personal take on posing direction.
