2026 - No. 10
The "flag" pages for this issue are a little unusual... And the QR codes and copyright statement are on the back page this time with nothing else. And the reason is simple...
Union Station had a several-days tribute. Pink lights in the Grand Hall and outside. A selection of her music playing on repeat - which the reverb inside made sound, somewhat appropriately, like hymnals.
And in choosing the flag, I couldn't really think of anything else. But I also wanted to let that scene stand on its own without any overlay.
Anyway...
Speaking of Union Station, Taylor is among the group opening this issue. She was dropping off packages at their Postal Service location. Walking in right as I was trying to relax. So that had to wait... You'll also see Mylie around Power & Light wearing just an oversized t-shirt as a dress. Stella was among the crowd at the T-Mobile Center for a concert that night.
You'll also find this issue's cover feature, Leylah.
Another first this time is two pairs of friends in one evening. Back at Union Station is where you'll find the "Wine friends" looking incredible for the Uncorked wine festival. And from around the Crossroads are the "Flannel friends" - both wearing a flannel pattern.
And then two nights later was another pair of friends waiting for an Uber.
Krista brings back the flannel along with a cap and denim. Meadow continues the casual attire that night while also trying to load her stuff into a moving van - I gave her a hand in exchange for some quick photos. And next to her is Chloe with a black crop tank and red sweatpants.
But let's not forget about Cicely. When I first noticed her in the Power & Light District, I wasn't sure if I was going to photograph her until we crossed paths again along 12th between Main and Baltimore.
Rounding out the issue are another pair of friends. I did get shots of them together first, but they weren't too fond of them, and neither was I. So individual shots to the rescue! Getting the first friend, then getting the second while the first was bringing up Instagram on her phone.
