2026 - No. 1

Welcome to 2026!

Eleanor starts us off near the Kauffman Center southbound streetcar stop. First date for her that night, and the first street photo encounter of the year for me.

I've also noticed a very interesting pattern: every first issue for a year after the 2019-2020 issue, except 2022 - No. 1, has had at least one repeat. And that pattern continues here.

Crystal first appeared with her friend Hailey in the last issue for 2024. The photos of them together are among my favorites from that year - especially the one of Hailey trying to block the sun. But this time Crystal is on her own at the Power & Light southbound streetcar stop.

Also showing again after nearly two (2) years is Elizabeth, featured in the second issue for 2024. I had Meranda downtown at that time, photographing her with her Parade of Hearts entry before taking advantage of the walk to her car to... maybe... make her a model. After finishing up with her, I found Elizabeth with a friend leaving Birdies.

Nina and Arson give us the first friends mini-shoot for the year. Nina in a stylish denim top with a full-length skirt. While Arson had a black knitted poncho and short denim shorts that show off her long legs.

Alongside Elizabeth to round out this issue are Anastasia and Olivia. I had an idea in mind to make photos featuring the smoke from Anastasia's joint... Kind of works, kind of not... And Olivia was near Muni while I was waiting for the streetcar on the River Market West platform. So since I had a few minutes...

Like last year's first issue, this issue's cover feature was a very tough choice. But...

Marine is our first cover feature for 2026, walking in with incredible legs in her blue tank and black denim shorts with heels. She is one of the quarterbacks for the Kansas City Glory, part of the Women's National Football Conference.
