2025 - No. 8
A new-to-me rock band called Ghost was in Kansas City, and photos of several concertgoers start out this issue. For those who've met me in person, you probably wouldn't think of me as someone who'd enjoy their music. But in checking them out, I like their sound. And I'm always looking for new music to check out.
It was really only a matter of time before photographing someone in Kansas City Live! given how much I've walked around the Power & Light District.
Emilie was enjoying drinks with a friend on the upper deck, just too hot to pass up. Showing off denim shorts that perfectly hug her... umm... hips... And there's also Shiro sitting on one of the benches looking incredible in her blue dress. My only regret there was never having her stand up to really show it off.
During the time I was making photos for this issue, I had a model out at Sar-Ko-Par Trails in Lenexa - she'll be featured in a separate, special issue. The park features a skate park where we met Jennie. She mentioned she used to be a model, so I turned that back around on her and got a couple quick photos of her with a little starting posing direction.
Speaking of modeling, making a surprise visit here is Anastasia Skye Carrasco. She is 2019's Miss Teen Kansas Latina. She was sitting outside Il Lazzarone Pizza enjoying some wine. At the time I took the photos, I had no idea who she was. It was only later that I discovered that.
And during my venture downtown that same night, I caught Hadley with a very impressive camera setup. So check out her Instagram if you're looking for video work.
Another downtown outing is where I found this issue's cover feature, Charlie. I happened across her while circling the block, noticing her sleeveless black dress with heels, dressed for a show at the Midland Theater. And speaking of the Midland, that's also where I found Morgan in her completely casual gray jacket and denim shorts.
And rounding out this issue is Macie making her third appearance in ...at face value. And her best one so far with a sexy black pattern dress. So far she's the only threepeat for 2025, but there's still plenty of calendar left on the year to see if any of the other doubles make a third appearance.
