2025 - No. 6

2025 - No. 6

They're really coming out like clockwork now, with a new issue being wrapped up seemingly twice a month. Though I do expect things to slow down somewhat now that we're in the middle of the year and it becomes a bit... dangerous with the heat to be out and about the way I have been. Or at least out and about at the Riverfront where there's almost nothing in the way of shade.

This one also starts out with a repeat, though not quite in the same sense as No. 5 did. (I'll probably start playing the lottery if that ever happened again.) I unexpectedly crossed paths with Annika, who I first met... about in the same spot back in October. Though at a different time of day.

Later on you'll find Mel with her animal print dress and fishnets. I found her in the City Market after Kate was one wrong moment away from opening the hair salon's door right into me. She just had her hair done, and it was an interesting color, so I'm glad I was able to catch her.

With last issue, I alluded to getting away from the City Market and more into the heart of downtown, pointing out Eliene and Olivia. And this issue I haven't been around the City Market nearly as much. The street car has very much helped. Since that means other stops to visit, such as the one right next to One Kansas City Place, 1200 Main, where I found Monty. And so did the wind, as it was trying to be a little playful with her skirt.

A couple nights later along 14th is when I found this issue's cover feature, Heather. In all seriousness, I do not believe I've had a more perfect photo for a cover feature, though I will say that Hannah's cover for No. 4 runs a very close second. She looks amazing with the green dress and sunglasses, and the pose she had against the Power & Light Apartment building really makes it.

Then back at the City Market for their flea market and a very productive Sunday. Starting off with Jamie, who I managed to catch outside the Level One Game Store. Laney with her drink that, like earlier with Merrit and Nim, I decided to make a feature of her shot. And there's the impossibly-adorable Sarah swimming in her Harley Davidson t-shirt, who I also considered for the cover.

And there's also a mini-shoot with Anne in the rain and her friend Olivia. It was definitely too hot for the all-black attire that Olivia chose for the day, but thankfully she let me have some fun with her. Pretty sure the entire time she was also thinking "This isn't really happening, right?"

And finishing out is a mini-shoot with Rafaela at the Riverfront, who also happens to be one of Eliene's friends.
