2025 - No. 4

This one starts off with an interesting story.

The first two women featured are Megan and Nadia. I first met and photographed them on June 4. I met them again and photographed them again just two nights later on June 6. Repeats are rare enough. But to have two women I photograph on the same night repeat together two nights later... what are the odds of that? And that's also the first repeat in that short of time since Katie back in... 2022.

And with Nadia, I learned the night I met her that she's also an aspiring model with a couple photo shoots under her belt. So when I saw her at the City Market Coffee House again two nights later, I wanted to take her for a walk or, rather, a walking photo shoot around the City Market.

But yet she's... not the cover feature this time. What gives?

When I was first putting together this issue, I was certain that Nadia would be it, that she'd be the cover. Then I met Eve and this issue's cover feature, Hannah. The experience from my brief time with them combined with the photos we were able to make just made her the easy pick.

Sorry, Nadia... Anyway...

Sundays have become very fruitful for me at the City Market as well, courtesy of the flea market that draws decent crowds. Along with the beautiful weather this time of year, teasing us with Summer heat but still staying mostly mild. And hotter weather means... hotter clothing styles as well, such as Fernanda showing off her very colorful skirt along with Nat's patterned skirt she'd tell me came from El Salvador.

Moving toward rounding out this issue is another Sunday at the City Market flea market that allowed me to catch Marilyn and Cyrie looking absolutely amazing. They crossed in front of me outside The Candy Wizard when I needed to take refuge from the heat, so I jumped at the chance.

Finishing out this issue is Sydney in the ultimate of casual clothes: a very over-sized t-shirt and sweats. And Shelby makes a return. She is the cover feature for this year's first issue. She was on the back patio at the City Market Coffee House looking hot in a white sleeveless top and black denim shorts. Thankfully she let me get a few shots of her before she was meeting a friend.
