2025 - No. 13
I have a pinned post on my Instagram that says, in short, that if you want me to photograph you, just message me with where you'll be and when. And I'll let you know whether I can be there. And Milly took advantage of that to have a photo shoot. I had photographed her previously while she was toking out on her skateboard, and she was keen on trying again.
October is where my street photography slows down. Days get shorter as we go into Daylight Saving Time ending the first Sunday in November. So unless I'm out with my camera flash, I don't have a lot of time to work with given the time I typically take off from home. But I need more practice with my flash anyway. So keep an eye out for Maddie and Albania.
And also this issue's cover feature, Alexandra. I was standing on the West side of Delaware when I saw her near River Market Dental looking... well... "You look too incredible tonight. I need to take a few shots of you if you don't mind."
After Ana and her bright orange dress with the slit in her skirt showing a little leg, some more night photography finishes out this issue with Ruth outside a hotel, Brynn and Hailey in the Power & Light District, and Sammy near the Kauffman Center as I was headed to my car.
But that's actually not quite it.
I went back through all the exposures I took this year to see if there was anything that I left on the dark room floor, so to speak. Photos that either went completely unused, or were initially imported for editing then never published anywhere.
And... there were quite a few, actually, that a second glance had me thinking "Why were these left behind?" So this is a chance to make up for the oversight.
