2025 - No. 11

So we start out this issue with another repeat. The valet I first photographed a couple months ago was pacing back and forth in front of the Hilton President where she was stationed. So why not occupy a moment of her time? Alongside her from earlier that evening is Maddie in denim shorts and a striped halter top.

And also making another showing is Abby. I first encountered her last year at Antioch Park. And then I unexpectedly found her again at the City Market. This time wearing a t-shirt and long denim skirt and gorgeous smile instead of workout clothes with her beautiful long hair being worn down. Far, far better photos this time around. Hopefully it won't be another close-to-a year before seeing her again.

And Abby's encounter was part of another very successful Sunday afternoon that also saw me crossing paths with the petite and adorable Frankie with an off-shoulder T-shirt, and Ava rounding out that afternoon with a red tank and jeans while she played with her blonde hair.

The Book of Mormon was in town at the Kansas City Music Hall. With a huge crowd outside waiting for the show to begin, I wandered back and forth looking for potential subjects and saw two sisters looking very elegant.

Rounding out the issue is Stormy in her one-piece purplish dress sitting outside the Flashcube building. Managing to finally catch someone sitting in the courtyard in front of it.

Deftones was performing at the T-Mobile Center, so it was another chance to find some concertgoers. Though more away from the T-Mobile Center this time than around it. On that, you'll find Angelisa and Taylor, though I'm not sure if Angelisa was going to the Deftones concert. Anyway...

And it's that night where I also found this issue's cover features. Yes, you read that right: features. Plural. For the first time, we have four women featured on the cover. A group of friends I found near the 1201 Walnut building - the first two initially, then the other two came along later - who gave me a mini-shoot for their night out.

It just didn't feel fair trying to pick only one for the cover. And it didn't feel right going with someone else as the cover feature given the experience they gave me, along with the experience I gave them that night.
