2025 dark room floor
I've taken a LOT of photos this year. And there are plenty of reasons why I might photograph someone and then... not do anything with the shots. The person I photographed didn't want them, and I, for some reason, didn't feel like doing anything with them either. Something about the photo or how I was feeling that day caused me to decide against doing anything with them.
So time to make up for that and post the ones that, on a revisit, I feel should've been posted.
And it's a good idea for all photographers to go back through their photos and look for shots they left on the dark room floor, since you could find some that leave you wondering, "Why did I exclude this?"
And a good place to start, I feel, is this woman on a bike. I do recall from her encounter that she wasn't really mentally in a good headspace, but still consented to me photographing her.

Let's rewind a few months back to April at Antioch Park. Finding subjects there compared to downtown was definitely a bit more... involved. In early April, I encountered this woman wearing all-denim while she was waiting for someone. She didn't speak English all that great, unfortunately - something I encountered a LOT that Spring. Speaking of, I think I need to renew my acquaintance with Elsy...

Back in the River Market district nearly a month later I found this very colorful woman, catching her just as the streetcar arrived.

She was photographed the same evening as Liv and Lilly. I think her name is Alex... Alexis... something along those lines. I caught her on 13th Street near where I'd also photograph Mads.

Kansas City Live! had watch parties for the Chiefs through, I think, the entire season. The season opener was on September 5, in which the Chiefs and the LA Chargers were in... São Paulo, Brazil... And there were a few sponsors out and about as well, including Red Bull handing out free cans.

A few more from the River Market District, City Market, and within the downtown loop:

And some leftovers from the Kansas City Renaissance Festival:
