2024 - No. 5

Another very difficult choice for the cover feature, but I ultimately settled on Carly, the transplant from Texas exploring WyCo Lake when I crossed paths with her - and the second Carly to grace the cover.

I was back at the City Market for the flea market's last weekend. You'll find the adorable Emily showing off her Chiefs pride, Angela and her purple jersey with sweats, and Lesli with the off-shoulder sweater. And speaking of off-shoulder, there's my last encounter with the woman at the info desk. (I never asked for her name...)

You'll also find Crystal with her friend Hailey. Crystal in the sexy green one-piece dress showing off her great legs with some... curious features that I debated on editing out, but ultimately decided against. And Hailey looking hot as well, with the sun poking out from behind some clouds and forcing her hand - literally - and letting me catch a very lucky shot. I've said time and again that many of my best shots are the unplanned ones.

And in November, the City Market hosted the Navy band from the Great Lakes. Along with getting a couple shots of them, I managed to also catch their Chief and Commanding Officer. I normally don't photograph men, but I'm absolutely making an exception for one in a military dress uniform...

Only one mini shoot this time. I encountered Jazz earlier in the year when she was reading a romance novel at Antioch Park, and caught her recently trying to set up for cell phone shots. And speaking of Antioch Park, there's Willa giving off the same kind of... connecting with nature feel I recall when I first met Shea.
